PARKING: Parking is limited to street parking and The Summit parking lot on the west side of the building ONLY after 5:30pm (note cars must be out of the lot by 7am the following day). DO NOT PARK IN THE LOWES PARKING LOT - the lot is locked after 10pm and THEY WILL TOW.

LOAD-IN: Load in through the front load-in door located to the left of the patio. In the event it is locked, ask a bartender to unlock it. Please wait until there is a Sound Technician present before loading gear onto the stage. There MAY be an early event before your show!

SOUNDCHECK: The production crew at The Camel likes to run a tight ship. If the bill is a multiple band/musician bill, please be aware of the time constraints before doors. The production crew wants to make everyone happy … with that being said, if you would like a sound check, please be on time and prepared. Often, we only have enough time to check the last (headline) and first (opener) acts. If the headliner isn’t on time for a check, production will move on to the other available and willing acts for a sound check. If additional soundcheck/load in time is desired we can provide that for $25/hour. Please advance with tristan@thecamel.org.

HOSPITALITY: Unless hospitality is previously agreed upon, performers are entitled to a % discount off ANY food or drink. Our greenroom is located down a flight of 20 stairs from street level. It is also our office, as well as a throughway for our dry storage. Employees will regularly be walking through for various reasons. We only have the one space to share between all acts for the night.

PROMOTING THE SHOW: The Camel has an in-house promotions manager and does our best to promote every show at the venue through digital, print, and in-venue channels. While we will include your show in our regular promotions, we also rely on everyone performing to put forth their best effort in promotions. Announcing the show on your band’s and personal social media is great; but also, NOTHING BEATS GOOD, OLD FASHIONED WORD-OF-MOUTH to your friends, family, coworkers etc. If we can assist, or you have any fun and unique promotional ideas, let us know!

Cancellations happen! In the event that one or more artists need to cancel please make us aware of it as soon as possible so we have time to find replacements. Email matt@thecamel.org, justin@thecamel.org, call the venue (804 )353-4901, send us a message on Instagram - anything to keep us in the loop.

RULES AND REGS: No outside food or drink of any kind is allowed. If you bring in outside food or drink you will be asked to discard it. If you bring in outside alcohol you will be asked to leave. Virginia has very strict liquor laws and we risk losing our liquor license. Please respect the venue!
