The Nasty Flyers are a Phish tribute band from Rochester, New York, dedicated to capturing the true essence of Phish’s music. With a deep commitment to mastering the intricate arrangements and complex improvisational style of Phish, the band strives to recreate the energy and spontaneity that has made Phish a legendary live act. Each performance is a unique journey, where the band members and audience alike are taken to new musical dimensions, fully immersed in the moment and the magic of the music.
The band features a talented lineup of musicians with diverse musical backgrounds. Miles McHugh (guitar, vocals) and Lou Chitty (keyboards, vocals) hail from the well-known Dead tribute band Into the Now. Tommy Mintel (drums, vocals) comes from Helium Bubble, while Chris Meeker (bass, vocals) and Miles also have roots in the band Moving Mountains. Together, they blend their unique experiences and shared passion for Phish to create performances that resonate with both die-hard fans and newcomers alike, honoring the original while adding their own fresh interpretations.
For this performance, they'll be pulling from Phish's extensive catalog to create a new soundtrack for the classic Cohen Brothers' film "The Big Lebowski." The Caz abides... OK, dude?
