ABOUT DAN LAMORTE

Dan LaMorte is a unique stand-up comedian, and that’s not just because he’s on the spectrum. Dan was chosen as one of the prestigious New Faces at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2023. His Don't Tell Comedy debut is set to premier in the summer of 2024. Dan has released two albums, Not Enough Pieces & Infect Me Once, both are popular plays on SiriusXM and have amassed over a million streams on Pandora. Dan appeared on the Tamron Hall show on ABC with his grandmother after a video they made together about how she ranks her grandchildren went viral. He has also appeared on Fox’s Red Eye and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. When not on the road, Dan is a fixture of the New York City comedy scene, and has been for the better part of a decade. You can regularly see him at the Comedy Cellar and The Stand comedy clubs.

Dan's career started young, at 19 years old, after suffering a career-ending injury as a college baseball player. As his star rose in comedy, so did his weight. By the time he was 23 years old, Dan had built an impressive resume, unfortunately, he had also built a 354-pound body. But that year everything changed. After a doctor told him he had fatty liver disease, Dan decided to ditch the fat life and find the athletic drive again. Over the course of the next three years, he would go on to lose over 185 pounds, become an ultra runner (races longer than marathon distance), and inspire many of his fans to pursue their own weight loss journeys along the way.

Are there any age restrictions?

The Comedy Club at Duckworth's shows are 18 and over. All parties must have valid government-issued IDs to enter the building. We also ID for the purchase of all alcohol.

Is there a drink minimum?

The Comedy Club at Duckworth's requires that you purchase two items from the menu when you come to see a show. This can be any combination of food/beverage and does NOT include items purchased in The Cellar or at the Duckworth's Grill & Taphouse downstairs.

Please Note: If you choose not to order anything in the showroom, there is a $3.50 charge per person per each item until the 2 item minimum is met. This charge covers our costs so we can continue providing you with great laughs!

What is the difference between Reserved and General Admission seating?

• General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.

• Reserved seats are assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned.

Please Note: We do not offer a standing room section and cannot take seating requests or guarantee seats in a specific location.

All tables are in a "community seating" arrangement, so you may end up seating with other groups.

How can I make sure my party sits together?

• While we cannot guarantee seats together, General Admission groups should arrive at least 45 minutes before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.

• Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will automatically be assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.

Please Note: We will only seat complete groups. Your group must enter the showroom together to be seated together. In addition, we do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee you seats in a specific location.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.

Is the club fully accessible?

No, we are not handicap accessible at this time. We do not have an elevator and are up 1 flight of stairs.
