About Shadowgrass

ShadowGrass is a progressive bluegrass band rooted in tradition but driven by innovation. Formed in 2014 by childhood friends Clay Russell (banjo), Luke Morris (mandolin), and Kyser George (guitar) at a Virginia fiddlers convention, they’ve since added Madison Morris (fiddle/vocals) and Evan Campfield (bass) to round out their sound.

Known for their blistering picking, tight harmonies, and genre-blending arrangements, ShadowGrass has earned accolades across the bluegrass scene. Their sophomore album, All That Will (released October 4, 2024), showcases their evolution—melding traditional instrumentation with modern songwriting and jam-band energy.

They’ve shared stages with legends like Billy Strings and performed at major festivals including MerleFest, the National Folk Festival, and IBMA World of Bluegrass.
