Bob Cummins Jr

RYIL: JON BRION, BEACH BOYS ON DRUGS, WEYES BLOOD

Bob Cummins Jr. is a Dallas singer-songwriter known for being a first-call studio musician and member of Midlake spinoff Harry Zimm. As his fans will tell you, his sound is uniquely “Bob,” containing pensive grand piano ballads, mid-tempo alternative indie, hip-hop, and playful electronic explorations.

After his underground debut album Shakewelle, Portland-based label Big Secret Records signed him, commissioning his latest LP Good American Songbook. His unique, classic-songwriting-inspired craftsmanship is balanced by textures drawn from video game soundtracks and early weirdo electronic albums.

The Double And-

The Double And is a musical duo formed by multi-instrumentalist Rachael Michaels and drummer Emily Gould. After meeting at an open-mic night, the pair found a shared love of music, creativity, knowledge and travel. This combination led the women to form The Double And as a means of expression and a desire to share their common passions. The duo create an intricate, melodic, powerful sound with only electric guitar, drums and their voices.

Volon Vauban-

Volon Vauban is the solo project of Colorado musician, producer, and artist Kellie Palmblad. Sonically nostalgic of early projects Eyes Caught Fire (2002) and Spirettes (2020), Volon Vauban hones in upon wounded feminine archetypes through the lens of one-woman shoe-gaze. The project features Palmblad’s narrative lyrics- confessionally raw and driven by powerfully emotive vocals. Rooted in guitar-driven structures, the songs are embellished by layers of reverb and soundscapes of ethereal fx.
