Ryan Picone Quartet featuring Patrick Harison and Sam Skavnak 6:00pm
The Ryan Picone Quartet has become a creative force in the Twin Cities’ jazz scene, blending a deep Hot Club Jazz tradition with a modern, global sensibility. A devoted acolyte of the celebrated guitarist Stéphane Wrembel, Ryan’s music is rooted in the spirit of Django Reinhardt, yet the quartet often ventures into other old world and new world musical landscapes.

The Red Hot Django Peppers (7:25pm) are a fiery Twin Cities–based Hot Club band keeping the spirit of Django Reinhardt alive while adding their own spark to the tradition. Led by guitarist Ryan Picone—an acolyte of world-renowned guitarist Stéphane Wrembel—the group features the dynamic interplay of guitarist Ian Stenlund, the soaring violin of Daniel Lentz, and the driving pulse of bassist Sean Roderick. Together, they create a sound that’s at once timeless and fresh, blending dazzling virtuosity with irresistible swing.

Parisota Hot Club 8:05pm
Formed in 2001... Original intention in getting together to explore the music of Django Reinhardt... First official date as Parisota Hot Club at Brasserie Zinc in Minneapolis Feb. 7 2002... At this time, it was the first Hot Club of the 2000's devoted to the jazz stylings of
Reinhardt and violinist Stephan Grappelli to appear on the Mpls./St. Paul music scene. It has since become the longest running Hot Club locally in the Twin Cities. The name Parisota is a blend of two locations; Paris, hometown of original PHC violinist and founding member Raphaël Fraisse and the group's home base, Minnesota.

Hot Club Mania Quartet, (8:45pm) a Twin Cities-based swing jazz band, performs a timeless jazz tradition commonly known as Gypsy Jazz, a blend of traditional Roma music and swing jazz. Originating in Paris in the early 1930s, the ‘Hot Club’ jazz tradition brings back happy memories of the swing jazz era, and for all an opportunity to nod, tap, or hit the dance floor. Their music keeps audience members on the edge (or out) of their chairs with the band’s formidable improvisational prowess, and exceptional stylistic dimension. A group not to be missed!

The Twin Cities Hot Club (TCHC) (9:25pm) represents Minnesota in the burgeoning revival of gypsy jazz originally popularized by Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the Hot Club of France. They recreate not only the famous la pompe that distinguishes this romantic brand of acoustic jazz but also gypsy bossanova, musette, bolero, and swing. TCHC perform this timeless deep-rooted music that is physical, alive and speaks directly to the heart.

Gary’s Sweet Chorus 10:05pm

Gary Schulte is a violinist and performance composer to whom Stephane Grappelli gave his most sincere blessing. A veteran of "A Prairie Home Companion", he has done everything from classical improvisation with harpsichord master Layton James to the avante garde with David Byrne. Sought after as a jazz violinist, he has gigged with some of the greatest artists of the Gypsy Jazz genre, including guitarist legend Dorado Schmitt. He is also known for his work in the Black Gospel tradition, and for his unaccompanied solo violin performances in which he takes a story or image and creates a spontaneous composition in front of a live audience.
