We are thrilled to announce that Dogs in a Pile will be performing at Moontown on Wednesday, August 21st in The 1915 Room!

From the sandy shores of Asbury Park, NJ, Dogs in a Pile is an eclectic quintet blending funk, jazz, rock and roll, and psychedelia into a unique musical experience. Known for their captivating live performances and storytelling, they’ve built a massive northeast fan base, the Dog Pound.

The band formed when Philadelphia University of the Arts guitar virtuoso Jimmy Law started playing with Joe Babick (drums), a student at the Count Basie Theater program in Red Bank, NJ. The lineup was solidified with the addition of Berklee School of Music students Sam Lucid (bass), Jeremy Kaplan (keyboard), and Brian Murray (guitar) in 2019.

Their growth culminated in an epic, sold-out performance at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park in the summer of 2021. Now, with fresh material in hand, Dogs in a Pile is taking their evolving testament to the Great American Songbook on tour in 2022, visiting new cities and spreading good music and good vibes.
