Boston-area singer (and broadcast journalist) Lynn Jolicoeur, recognized for her colorful, rich tones and styling over a wide vocal range, formed her

band, Lynn Jolicoeur and The Pulse, in 2008. That followed decades of singing around the family piano, in choruses and musical theatre, and in

classical voice lessons.

The band has performed at venues from the Regattabar and The Mad Monkfish in Cambridge to Tosca in Hingham and the former Acton Jazz

Café, as well as at community arts events and private functions.

Lynn Jolicoeur and The Pulse give classic jazz and pop songs, as well as contemporary jazz/pop covers and originals, their own touch via fabulous

arrangements and improvisation. The Pulse features original members Steven Travis, an intuitive pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and

private teacher who has performed in professional bands since the age of 11; and Warren Olsen, a versatile bassist who previously toured Germany

for several years performing original music and has played in numerous Massachusetts bands with styles ranging from jazz, rock and blues to

disco. Guitarist George Hicks has played multiple instruments since a young age, performing and arranging music in bands with genres ranging

from funk and rock to ska and jazz. He’s also enjoyed a career in sound engineering and producing, public radio and podcasting.
