Based in Central Virginia and with family roots in South Texas, Ramona and the Holy Smokes represent a new generation of honky tonk music. With powerful female vocals that cover an emotional range from determined to comic to vulnerable and a talented backing band steeped in classic country and western styles of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the band exhibits a “clarity and sincerity that bring Patsy Cline to mind” (Nashville Scene, 2025). Fronted by Ramona Martinez, whose songwriting has earned her recognition from Wide Open Country as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music," this Charlottesville, Virginia-based band is rooted in the traditional sounds of country music but unafraid of pushing boundaries and highlighting the connections across border cultures. They have appeared at several Americana festivals including Red Wing Roots (2024), Rooster Walk (2025), Bristol Rhythm & Roots (2025), and has opened for touring artists like Margo Cilker, Colby Acuff, Willi Carlisle, Redd Volkaert, Joshua Hedley, Donna the Buffalo, and Kashus Culpepper.

Joined on stage by Mose Wilson, a dynamic artist whose music weaves together the rich traditions of roots, country, and Americana with vibrant threads of soul, funk, rock & roll, and bluegrass. Hailing from a lineage that marks him as the first traditional musician in his family, Mose began his musical journey at the tender age of six, strumming his first guitar and leading hymns in church. This early exposure to music ignited a passion for songwriting, deeply influenced by legendary artists such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. With a distinctive sound that reflects life’s complexities—from love and heartbreak to the philosophical musings of existence—Mose’s music resonates with authenticity and depth. His thought-provoking lyrics explore themes of hard work, the nightlife, and the poignant realities of family and mortality.

Joined by another local gem, Cassidy Snider & The Wranglers! Led by the traveling troubadour, Cassidy Snider, this folk outlet is a grassy assortment of her wanderlust-filled soul with sounds of the New Orleans bayou, the blue ridge mountains, and every accent between. From dive bar corners to venue bright lights, each song kicks dirt off the dance floor with story-filled twang. Blending genres, yet always tinged in Cassidy's blues, they have developed a unique sound that morphs the musical styles of the American past with a voicing that can only be sung by this band's bright future.
