Rio Da Yung OG is a rapper from Detroit, Michigan. He has been making music since 2017 and has quickly gained a cult following in the city. He is known for his dynamic flow and hard-hitting bars that often have a heartfelt message behind them. His music is often inspired by his hometown and the people he interacts with in it.

Rio was born in Detroit in 1995. He grew up in an area of the city that was surrounded by poverty and gang violence. Despite this, he was determined to make something of himself and found solace in Hip Hop music. As a teen, he started writing rhymes and collaborating with fellow rappers in the city. It was during this time that he began to develop his unique sound.

In 2017, Rio released his debut EP 'My Life'. The project was well received in Detroit's underground rap scene and quickly gained attention from local hip hop blogs. In 2018, he released his breakout single 'State 2 State' which featured fellow Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley. The single put him on the map and gained millions of streams on streaming platforms like SoundCloud and Spotify. Since then, Rio has continued to release well received projects such as 'Get Money Stay Humble' and 'Livin' Legend'. He has also collaborated with other prominent Detroit rappers such as Sada Baby & Payroll Giovanni. Today, Rio is one of the most sought after artists from Detroit. He continues to make music with an authentic sound that captivates audiences from all over.
