The Joyce Boys is an Irish folk group consisting of two sets of brothers who are cousins & the son of one. They play a variety of folk songs, both Irish and American, along with Irish Traditional jigs and reels. Members include Michael on guitar and vocals, John on mandolin and vocals, Brendan on bass guitar and vocals, Brian on harmonica and vocals and Tom on flute/tin whistle and vocals. The band formed in the latter 1960’s, and have been playing together ever since. The Joyce Boys have played many festivals, various Chicago area venues, theatres, pubs, funerals, and The Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox St. Patrick’s day festivities.
