The Koffin Kats are an American psychobilly/rockabilly-punk band from Detroit, Michigan, known for their energetic blend of punk rock attitude, rockabilly twang, and horror-tinged imagery — plus a relentless touring schedule that’s taken them all over the U.S. and Europe since the early 2000s.
Their songs explore themes of horror, science fiction, and outlaw culture, blending them into a sound often likened to horror punk and garage rock. Characterized by raw vocals, driving upright bass, and rapid-fire rhythms, their music delivers a relentless, high-energy punch.
Touring is a huge part of their identity — they’ve played thousands of shows across North America and Europe, building a reputation for high-energy performances. Fans often highlight the band’s engaging live presence and Vic Victor’s dynamic stage antics with his upright bass.

THE PROFFITS
Through the boarded up windows and deadbolted doors of a former mortuary, something stirs. It’s not ghosts, but the rumble of The Proffits tearing through another practice, loud enough to rattle hubcaps of the cars across the street in the parking lot. Fierce vocals distort over a bassline that rumbles beneath surf-drenched guitar and pounding drums.
The Proffits are Olympia, WA’s answer to a question nobody asked but everyone needed. Surf punk at its trashiest and most familiar, they channel the sleaze of The Cramps, the raw chaos of The Sonics, and flirt with the soul-scratched swagger of the Detroit Cobras. Their songs don’t just haunt—they move, with melodies and arrangements that summon hips into motion and boots onto beer-stained floors.
After several lineup changes, the current incarnation locked in the spring of 2025. By summer, they were already lighting up dive bars, BeerFests, and even playing a generator powered show under a bridge, leaving sweat, feedback, and Olympia’s most unique merch in their wake.
At the end of June, the band spent a day at Decay, a local community space that doubles as a cradle for Olympia’s stranger sounds. In a single scorched day, they tracked a batch of raw, reverberating cuts that would become The Decay Demos—a first glimpse into capturing their sound.
The Proffits aren’t here to save rock and roll. They’re here to haunt it, shake it up, and drag it back to the garage where it belongs.
