PERFORMER BIOS

Julia Colasanti – Originally from the Midwest, Julia has performed at Laugh Factory Chicago, Vermont Comedy Club, and comedy clubs and festivals throughout the country, including opening for national headliners such as Amy Miller, Jay Larson, and Yamaneika Saunders. She produces a monthly themed comedy show at Lincoln’s in Burlington, where the crowd is known to hoot and holler as much as the comics.

Julia DiFerdinando - Julia is a veteran of Second City Chicago, the world famous improv and comedy troupe that has produced scores of comedy icons such as Tina Fey, John Belushi and Steve Carrell. After teaching and performing there for more than 10 years, in 2018 Julia returned to her home Vermont to be the Creative Director at the Vermont Comedy Club. In 2019 she won the London Short Series Best Actress for her performance in “The Coat Room,” which she also wrote and produced. Most recently Julia has taken a job at South Burlington High School as a Theatre Teacher, where she brings her love of comedy and has directed and produced students in a wide range of performance opportunities.

Max Palmer – Max is a Green Mountain native who brings his unique brand of autistic humor to venues around Vermont and New England. He has performed at the Vermont Burlesque Festival and Burlington Fringe Festival, has opened for headliners such as Jordain Fisher and Megan Gailey, and this past fall he placed 3rd in the 2024 Vermont’s Funniest Comedian Contest at the Vermont Comedy Club. Whether it's dating stories, unique observations on life, or opinions on general randomness you'll get a smile with a trademark “yeeee-ahhhh.”

Gordon Clark (Host) - Gordon Clark is proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. A lifelong organizer and activist, he took up comedy when he was nearing 60… and never looked back.

Gordon is the director of the nonprofit Vermont Comedy All Stars, through which he produces and hosts monthly standup comedy showcase specials at Nectar’s (Burlington), Zen Barn (Waterbury, with co-host Jeremy Rayburn) and Bent Nails Bistro (Montpelier), as well as the quarterly showcase here at the Next Stage Arts Theater in Putney.
