We couldnt be more excited to welcome 2 Square to the bottlerocket stage especially after seeing their amazing set this year ar UCB's DCM 26'. Two of the best John Lutz and Peter Grosz take a single suggestion then spin that into a longform show featuring a kaleidoscope of scenes, absurdist transitional elements and callbacks – all while never once using a “sweep edit” to get from scene to scene.

John Lutz has been acting, improvising and writing for over 30 years. You may know him best as Lutz from 30 Rock. Other screen appearances include: Loot, Girls5Eva, Chicago Med, The Good Wife and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Film credits include The Comedian, Sisters and Sleepwalk with Me. He wrote for Saturday Night Live from 2004-2010 and is currently in his 12th year writing for Late Night with Seth Meyers. For 3 years, he toured the world from Bangkok to Rockford, IL with The Second City National Touring Company. He recently wrote the NY Times bestselling audiobook Escape from Virtual Island. He created, co-wrote and produced the series Mapleworth Murders with Paula Pell,which is streaming on Roku.

Peter Grosz has been teaching improvisation and writing at various theaters across America for the last 25 years. He wrote and performed in four reviews with The Second City ETC and was a founding member of the experimental improv groups JTS Brown, 4 Square and 2 Square. He has written for The Colbert Report, Late Night With Seth Meyers and At Home With Amy Sedaris, winning two Emmys, three WGA awards and a Peabody along the way. You’ve seen him in The Menu, Veep, The Bear, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The President Show and more. You can hear him on Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me on NPR and he was in a few commercials for Sonic drive-in, but only for 18 years so you might have missed them.
