One of the greatest living thinkers, the 14th Dalai Lama is now 90 years old and looks back on a life that has, perhaps unsurprisingly, been the subject of various Hollywood film productions. Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama’s full spiritual name, is one of the most well-known figures of our time. His tenure as the head of Tibetan Buddhists has lasted longer than the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, given that he was enthroned at the age of five.
