Hold On Be Strong: Homage to Southern Hip Hop

For eight years, multimedia artist Dave Alsobrooks traveled to homesites of legendary southern hip hop artists such as André 3000 and Killer Mike. Dave constructed exquisite shrines to these heroes of his, with soil, wood, symbolic props and significant lyrics. The work is meticulous. Third Friday exhibition from 6:00 to 9:00 at the Fruit. A ten-minute documentary is included in the exhibit.
