This holiday season, the Brown County Playhouse proudly presents a community theater production of A Christmas Carol, adapted and directed by our own Dania Leova. In this unique adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale, you will see the remarkable journey of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man who cares only for money. Scrooge’s transformation begins one fateful Christmas Eve, when he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him of three more ghostly visitors.

Throughout the night, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future lead Scrooge on a journey through his life, showing him moments of lost love, the struggles of his clerk Bob Cratchit and his family, and a frightening glimpse of his own lonely end. The haunting visions reveal to Scrooge the true meaning of compassion and generosity. When he awakens on Christmas morning, he is a changed man, filled with the spirit of giving and joy. Don’t miss this heartwarming and powerful production that brings our community together to celebrate the magic of the season.
