We're stoked to be working with Abso Lutely Production again - the team behind seminal alt-comedy shows THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW, NATHAN FOR YOU, COMEDY BANG BANG, and more - now co-presenting some of the coolest up and coming alt comedians in the world live on stage at Bottlerocket. Handpicked by the Abso team, these are performers on the cutting edge of the alt world. Often deeply weird, sometimes very absurd, always really funny.

Matt Barats is a comedian and actor in NYC. He had a lead role in the indie comedy feature INSPECTOR IKE (previously shown at Bottle Rocket), has been part of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and is co-creator of THE REVERIES TRILOGY (now out on blu-ray!) which Vulture called, ”an endorsement for unbridled creativity and experimentation and a marvel of artistic devotion.”

Matt wrote/directed the diy-comedy feature CASH COW which premiered at Slamdance Film Festival.

Matt has contributed writing to The New Yorker, The Onion, and Drifting Off with Joe Pera.

TV credits include HIGH MAINTENANCE, SEARCH PARTY, THE LAST O.G., LAST WEEK TONIGHT, PARTNER TRACK on Netflix, the HBO miniseries WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS, and FANTASMAS.

Matt most recently acted in the comedy movie NEVER CHANGE, coming soon for Hulu.

He acted/collaborated on an avant-garde comedy film shot entirely in mainland China(!)

And is finishing a new docu-fiction feature he wrote/directed for AbsoLutely Productions.
