Event Description:

ANTICONFESSIONAL : MISTRIAL is a participatory performance by queer performance artist and activists Telmo Branco (Germany/Portugal) and Ren Mauney (Germany/US). You are invited to join us on July 6th for this artistic intervention, this political workshop, an interrogation of self and citizen, nation and body. We will be your hosts, facilitators, and fellow un-citizens in an immersive experience in which we question together the State of things and dare not only to imagine otherwise, but to do otherwise. Together.

This is a practice of queer abolition, an attempt at restorative justice, a question of why we remain allegiant to what has been designed to harm us.

This encounter will last in total around 90 minutes. By purchasing a ticket, you are acknowledging this performance will be documented via video and photography and you may appear in the footage.

This project is funded by THE MAP FUND and hosted by Culture Mill (Saxapahaw) and The Fruit (Durham).
