Ava Luna is Carlos Hernandez, Felicia Douglass, Ethan Bassford, and Julian Fader. The group has always been a conversation between its members; sometimes inward-facing, but always uniquely worth eavesdropping on. Soul and funk, krautrock, post-punk, R&B, gospel and even reggae influences all bounce off each other in sync with each participant’s idiosyncratic background and interests.

Ava Luna's 2025 self-titled album is a testament to almost twenty years of shared musical sensibility, now distilled into its barest elements. The album paints an intimate yet exaggerated portrait of NYC, a cacophony of jagged post-punk, funk, and dance beats giving way to lush strings and spacious minimalism. Songs like "Your Man" showcase a raw urge to call out toxic behavior, while "Fancy" champions holding onto dignity in the face of adversity. It's a sound that is both resilient and reflective, offering a wisdom that only years of experience could bring, proving that even as the city and the band evolve, Ava Luna continues to take listeners somewhere urgent and new.

Tennishu is a Richmond, VA–based multi-instrumentalist, rapper, producer, and composer best known as the saxophonist, trumpeter, and MC for the genre-bending band Butcher Brown. With a sound that fuses jazz, hip-hop, and soul into a single creative current, Tennishu has built a reputation for fearless artistry and powerful storytelling.

His new album, More Of The Story (2025), expands on the vision of his acclaimed 2024 release More To The Story. Entirely self-produced, the project pushes Tennishu’s sound into new territory—running samples, horns, and verses through an intricate production lens that balances grit with intention. Lyrically, the album takes the gloves off, capturing the temperament of the times with urgency, openness, and depth.

With Butcher Brown, Tennishu has toured internationally, performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk, and helped bring modern fusion to a wider audience. As a solo artist, he has released a diverse catalog including Thirty EP, Forward EP, and Chant For Peace, each reflecting his commitment to excellence, community, and originality. Guided by the principle of “no smut on my name,” Tennishu approaches every project with a dedication to authenticity and craft.

More Of The Story marks the next chapter in his evolution—an album that bridges his jazz roots, hip-hop voice, and producer’s ear into a singular statement about resilience, creativity, and growth.

Shormey is the musical project of Shormey Adumuah. Currently based in Chesapeake - Virginia, Shormey makes music that explores the genres of underground dance, r&b, funk + psychedelia through introspection and nostalgia.
