The Bloomington Jazz Orchestra (BJO) will celebrate America’s 250th birthday with music from the Great American Songbook and will pay tribute to jazz greats such as Chuck Mangione, McCoy Tyner, and Quincy Jones. The BJO, directed by Lissa Fleming May, is a Bloomington-based big band made up of some of the most talented jazz musicians in the area. Their repertoire ranges from classic swing tunes and vocal standards to contemporary big band charts. There is something for everyone’s listening pleasure!
