Join us for our 2026 season of Bottle Talks, a LECTURE SERIES featuring some of the most interesting academics in the city presenting their work in a good old fashion dive bar.
From dinosaurs to conceptual art, these talks have run the gaumet of topics and interests - while still being fun enough to enjoy with a draft beer or cocktail!
June's installment will be an American Histpry double feature - a talk, from Mike Burke, the Assistant Director of The Fort Pitt museum, about "Pittsburgh's Revolution"! Followed by Jeffery Cole who will inform us all on "The Great American Getaway".
"Pittsburgh’s Revolution"
Pittsburgh has a rich revolutionary war story that most folks have never heard! Explore Pittsburgh’s role in the Revolution, its unique reasons for wanting freedom, and of course it’s role in shaping George Washington’s early military career.
"Great American Getaway"
There are few things more uniquely American than the great summer Road Trip - as a country we've been hitting the road for relaxation since 1776, and this annual nomadic tradition has shaped our country more than you probably realize. Learn all about what drives Americans to load up their families into the car, how our destinations and travel has changed through the years, and what we've left behind in the exhaust smoke.
