The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation is proud to present the 2026 Jazz at the Center summer series. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and propel the music that defines Indianapolis.

The heat of July celebrates two absolute titans of jazz. This special evening honors the 100th birthday of Miles Davis and the timeless songbook of Ella Fitzgerald. Led by Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame trumpeter Clifford Ratliff and Sandy Lomax—the region’s premier authority on Ella’s vocal mastery. Expect timeless, sophisticated sounds from two of Indy’s absolute best.

- In the event of inclement weather on the day of the show, we will alert you of the cancellation. The "rain date" for this show is Wednesday, July 22

• Arrive Early: Show up early (6:00 PM) for food (from The Jazz Kitchen) and drinks.
• Parking: Use lot on the east side of the building and along 67th Street.
• Entry: Use the Main Entrance on 67th Street to check-in.
• BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair!) because seating is limited for this outdoor community event.
• Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult.
• Support: Each performance supports the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation’s mission to keep the spirit of jazz alive through education and historic preservation.
