Purchase a workshop ticket for a hands-on embroidery workshop before the show led by local artist and educator Sadie Gilker (they/she). Did you know that embroidery can be political? For this workshop, Sadie will be guiding workshop participants through one of Mary, Queen of Scots own embroidery patterns. This queen was held in captivity and executed... and her embroidery was part of the reason why... find out more at the workshop! The featured design is from Mary's own collection of embroideries that she completed while in captivity. Learn historical stitches to pair with the pattern to transport you back in time.
All materials are provided.
