Chico Chi (he/they ) is a queer and non-binary transmasculine DJ + producer who splits their time between Minnesota and California. Chi started their DJ journey while creating safe(r) spaces and events for queer and transgender people of color in the Bay Area with Hunnies & Hot Sauce. He is also the co-founder of the music & creative production house Tender Bois Club and one of the resident DJs and organizers of Take Flight, a global music party based quarterly in the Twin Cities. Chico, which means boy in Spanish, is an ode to Chi’s trans identity and Chinese-Cuban roots. This hyphenated identity influences Chi’s eclectic song selection, curating multi-genre vibes that’ll take you on a journey into nostalgia and beyond.
