San Francisco-based quartet Finish Ticket make melodic music that straddles the line between indie rock and radio-ready pop. They debuted in 2009 with the EP Life Underwater, and followed it up a few years later with the 2013 full-length Tears You Apart. Following a handful of EPs, a relocation, and a lineup refresh, the group issued their sophomore album, Echo Afternoon, some 11 years later in 2024. The saga of releasing Echo Afternoon (and the 8 years of struggling just to get it out, through two unwilling record labels, forcing them to re-record the entire thing 3 times, losing band members and friends in the process ...) really took the life out of the band. After a year away, and time spent writing just for themselves, the band is back and feeling excited to be independently releasing new music... the way they've always wanted to.
