Funky Brewster was born in long nights at smokey downtown basement bars. In the jaws, hustle, and bustle of Orlando highways a sound stewed and brewed. Rising up like steam from hot Florida asphalt, the band Funky Brewster emerged.

Three of Orlando's own poured everything into the brew: Shine laying down guitar lines that twist and snarl, Derek Engstrom driving the pocket on drums, and Jason Joyner anchoring it all on bass. Together, they've distilled years on the local scene into a sound that's equal parts groove and grit. Funk simmered down to something entirely their own.
