Recognized by her distinctive voice and intimate expression, Gabrielle Cavassa is among the few new artists recently signed to Blue Note Records. She was ushered into the spotlight through her 2023 collaboration with saxophonist Joshua Redman after being crowned a winner of the International Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal Competition in 2021.

She has also performed and recorded with Adonis Rose and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Jamison Ross, and contributed vocals on projects by artists such as Bria Skonberg and others. In 2024 Cavassa signed with Blue Note Records and continues to tour internationally, acclaimed for her rich tone and emotive interpretations. Cavassa leads a quartet ahead of her debut Blue Note record, Diavola. Cavassa makes her artistic arrival with an album that unveils her range as a band leader, a songwriter, and a fearless song interpreter who treats each gesture with subtlety and reverence.
