Nasvhville-based Heather Mae isn’t just writing songs—she’s writing revolutions. A genre-defying artist-activist, she fuses the storytelling depth of folk, the grit of alternative rock, and the infectious hooks of indie pop to craft anthems for the outsiders, the survivors, and the seekers of radical joy. Her music is an unflinching mirror reflecting the raw realities of mental health, queer liberation, survivor empowerment, and the fight for justice. With a decade-long touring career performing at some of the country's top venues and festivals, Mae has built a devoted fan base through her unapologetic vulnerability and electrifying stage presence. She was named Artist-Activist of the Year by the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) and has won many songwriting awards, including the coveted Rocky Mountain Folk Fest competition. Her live shows—an almost one-woman blend of musical prowess and theatrical storytelling—are laced with humor, moxie, and gut-punching truth. These shows are not passive performances—they are participatory, vulnerable, and fiercely alive; an invitation to remember your worth, reclaim your voice, and know you are not alone.

Opening up the show will be New England-raised, Minneapolis-based songwriter Mother Banjo. Featuring Ellen Stanley on banjo and vocals, she is “an outstanding poet” (Inside Bluegrass) and has been featured nationally on SiriusXM Radio, CMT.com, The Bluegrass Situation and Americana UK. She was an official showcase artist at Folk Alliance International and has shared the stage with such A-list songwriters as Dar Williams, Jim Lauderdale and Lucy Wainwright Roche. Her latest album Eyes on the Sky artfully mixes her signature blend of folk, bluegrass and soulful Americana that has become a hallmark of her live shows. Whether performing solo or with her award-winning band, she is an engaging performer that brings a community spirit to the stage, encouraging participation and joy. When not writing or recording her own music, she is busy supporting other artists as a publicist, folk community organizer and host of the syndicated Womenfolk Radio Show and the Back Catalog Listening Party podcast.
