INK STORIES is a curated storytelling event that honors the sacred meaning that people express through tattoos: we mark our bodies with art that commemorates our most significant experiences and our deepest commitments. We express grief, hope, faith, and dreams through a medium that humans have employed for thousands of years. Eight storytellers will be selected, and each storyteller will have seven minutes to share. They’re bringing the humor, the heart, the creativity, and the vulnerability that they tapped into when they got their ink, and sharing it with the rest of us. Come for the program, but stick around for the community. The bar at Stockroom will be open till late, and once the storytelling on stage is done, we hope more stories get told among old and new friends. And for those who get the itch, tattoo artists from Mystic Union will be on hand with a menu of flash tattoos to select from in case you'd like to get inked.
