Keith Javors and an All-Star Band Present Dare You To Move — A Soul-Stirring, Genre-Defying Reunion After a reflective pause and venture into Gospel music, acclaimed pianist and composer Keith Javors makes a powerful return to the studio with Dare You To Move, his ninth full-length jazz release as a leader. A 20-year reunion of sorts, the album reunites key members from his Mo’ City Jungle release on Zoho Records — Ray Callender (trumpet) and Juan Carlos Rollan (tenor saxophone) — alongside Todd DelGiudice (alto saxophone), Taylor Roberts (guitar), Stan Piper (bass), Stefan Klein (drums), and Akia Uwanda (vocals). The result is a powerful new statement—an album that fuses jazz, pop, R&B, and gospel influences into an emotional, concept-driven journey of healing, hope,and homecoming.

A concept record at heart, Dare You To Move explores themes of faith, redemption, and resilience. From the hopeful ascent of the title track encouraging growth and betterment to the fiery and timely tribute Bunky Green to the earthy homecoming anthem Coming Home, Javors transforms struggle into transcendent art. “Many of these songs were born in valleys but I hope they speak toward mountaintops”, he says. Together, the collection navigates a terrain between heartbreak and hope with the kind of detail and depth only hard-won experience can yield. Both intimate and expansive, Dare You To Move is Javors’ most personal statement to date — a return to the studio and a continuation of transformation.
