With the help of a Lake Street Lift grant, the non-profit Hook & Ladder Theater is activating a series of on-site stages and satellite locations, including;
Arbeiter Brewing will feature a live music stage, craft beverages, food trucks, bouncy house (for kids) and more! 2-10pm
Lagniappe and Du Nord Cocktail Room will offer guests an early-bird pre-fest brunch option and a cool-down location with comfortable seating throughout the fest along with features on their unique New Orleans craft food and beverages. 11am-9pm/5-10pm, respectfully
Moon Palace Art Market (curated by Benchpressed) will host a music stage, story-telling in the courtyard, numerous craft vendors, food trucks, interactive arts activities and more from 2-8pm. *Weather contingency location - inside coliseum building
The Hook & Ladder Theater will present music on (4) stages in addition to a live-painting stage! 2pm-12
In all, the festival is presenting 22 acts in 2025! While The Hook & Ladder capacity/footprint requires a ticket purchase (or registration code from a community partner) to enter, the alternate stages are both barrier-free and open the community!
7 Stages: Outdoor Main Stage • Indoor Theater & Lounge Stages • Indoor Zen Arcade Stage & Lounge • Arbeiter Brewing Stage • Art Lot Stage
This award winning music, food and arts festival features an eclectic mix of the best local, regional and national entertainment across seven stages, and a wide variety of local craft food and beverage options. This unique summer celebration of performance, craft, and culinary art is also the annual fundraiser for The Firehouse Performing Arts Center, the non-profit community theater that is home to The Hook & Ladder Theater, Zen Arcade/Mission Room, and the Under The Canopy music series.
We will also be paying tribute to Chris Johnson, the founder of Deep Blues Festival. Chris held the inaugural festival in 2007 to celebrate the alternative and blues- influenced music he felt deserved more attention. Fan turned organizer, Chris became one of the most beloved and valued members of the Deep Blues scene. As proprietor of Bayport BBQ, Chris presented and hosted the artists and music he loved. The club was named “Best Blues Venue” in the Twin Cities. Chris’ wife Kristen and his children will be in attendance as we honor the Godfather of Deep Blues.
Tickets are $40-60 for this fully immersive city-central festival experience, with proceeds going towards continuing the valuable year-round community programming offered at The Firehouse Performing Arts Center.
Accessibility:
FPAC is proud to present an accessible event for attendees. The art market has paved paths and all activities are on ground level throughout. We are also offering accessible restrooms at each activation site, providing ASL on the larger Hook stages and volunteer assistance where/when requested/required.
Volunteers:
FPAC and The Hook & Ladder are volunteer run, from the board of directors to our box-office, and we would like to take this opportunity to formally thank our reliable year-round crew of community volunteers that make this festival and every other Hook event possible!
Getting to the Fest:
RRDB XII encourages attendees to consider biking, ride-shares and public transportation to get to/from this year’s event. We are also proud to again be partnering with Metro Transit to provide free transportation for attendees to/from the event on Saturday, June 7th.
Parking:
There is limited street parking along Snelling & Minnehaha and a limited number of parking lot spots nearby.
