The Needle Drop series continues after a brief respite - featuring perrenial favorites TERRY RADSHAW covering the Beatles sprawling farewell album (it was their final recorded together, although not their final release) - ABBEY ROAD.
Showcasing the Beatles at perhaps their most realized state, it's arguably the most iconic album of all time, fluttering seamlessly between Baroque pop perfection, sketches of classic rock, and whimsical love songs. It's one of the most dissected albums ever, and has been the source of conspiracy theories, subject of cultural analysis, and object of fascination for years. And the songs still hold up.
Featuring "the greatest long song ever written" according to Frank Sinatra (Something), the song that probably ended the Beatles (Maxwells Sliver Hammer), the song that is still their most popular (Here Comes the Sun), their most covered (Come Together) and a notebook dump suites of song sketches that close the album (Because through The End), even by the Beatles standards the album was and remains difficicult to classify - but is just as undeniable now as it was upon release in 1969. Come celebrate it with us, live and in full, with an intimate performance.
