Dig out the cassette deck, we’re bringing back our Live Rewind series celebrating some of the most iconic live shows ever for a very special 90’s month edition. Nationally touring tribute act LITHIUM will help us take on NIRVANA's solemn and intimate landmark live album, MTV UNPLUGGED IN NEW YORK, in its entirety.

The original performance is haunting - giving fans heard a more folky and poetic side of Nirvana that they rarely had heard before. Its legacy has only grown since, compounded by the fact that just months after the original show in November 1993, the world lost Kurt Cobain. From the shimmery acoustic reworking of "All Apologies" to the profound cover of Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?", the album will always feel like a premature farewell (Cobain himself purposefully dressed the stage with flowers and candles to feel like a funeral) from one of the most prominent and influential bands of the 90s.
