IV AND THE STRANGE BAND
IV and the Strange Band is an alternative-country project led by Coleman Williams (also known as "IV"), the great-grandson of country legend Hank Williams. Based in Nashville, the band is known for a "100-watt" sound that blends traditional outlaw country and bluegrass with the grit of punk and heavy rock. Coleman Williams spent his early 20s as a teacher before embracing his musical heritage at age 29—the same age his great-grandfather passed away. Rather than relying on his family name, he formed the Strange Band to forge a unique sonic path that balances "spectacle and spirit". Their music often features amplified guitars paired with traditional instruments like the fiddle, banjo, and lap steel.
CLOWNVIS PRESLEY
Clownvis Presley is a comedy-music character created and portrayed by Michael Leahy. Known as "The King of Clowns," the character blends musical parody, stand-up comedy, and magic into a high-energy performance often described as a mix of Elvis Presley and a classic Branson variety act. His act is characterized by quick wit, charming showmanship, and original songs that lean into absurdity.
NIL DESPERANDUM
active folk punk and acoustic "murderfolk" band based in the Cascadia region, performing around Seattle and Everett, Washington. Their music features instruments like the accordion, washboard, acoustic guitar, violin, and bass, and they are featured on the Cascadia Underground Folk Compendium.
