The greatest film soundtrack ever, PURPLE RAIN rocketed Prince to superstardom, and is still celebrated today as one of the finest and most complete albums ever made.

Half of it's tracklist became Top 10 hits, the half are deep cut classics. From the iconic opening of LET'S GO CRAZY through the soaring guitar of the title cut that closes it all out - the frantic glam of I WOULD DIE FOR YOU, and the seductive bassline strut of DARLING NIKKI - each song is uniquiely textured, gorgeously arranged, and immpeciably performed. It's no wonder why PURPLE RAIN became the high water mark for one of the most relentlessly creative musical geniuses to ever emerge from the wilds of Minnesota (I can think of another who's close though).

To tackle such a momentuous album, we needed a momentuous band - and that's THE PRINCE PROJECT, an internationally touring Prince tribute band bringing the full power of His Royal Badness to Bottlerocket.
