Join two of Northeast Florida’s most exciting young jazz artists for an evening of adventurous, high-energy modern jazz at Blue Jay Listening Room.

Both recent graduates of the acclaimed University of North Florida jazz program and former leaders within UNF’s prestigious Jazz Ensemble 1, Duque and Snell have quickly become rising forces in Jacksonville’s thriving jazz scene.

An accomplished saxophonist, vocalist, composer, and bandleader, Pablo Duque has shared the stage with artists including Michael Mossman, Jim McNeely, Ulysses Owens Jr., and Benny Benack III. He also curates the popular biweekly jazz jam at The Volstead and leads the genre-bending fusion project MR. DINOSAUR.

Originally from the UK and raised in Central Florida, Tyler Snell is a dynamic saxophonist and composer whose career has already taken him across the United States and internationally through Greece, Turkey, and Italy. A semifinalist in the NASA Jazz Competition and recipient of multiple jazz scholarships, Snell brings a powerful blend of technical mastery, melody, and fearless improvisation to the stage.

Together, Duque and Snell deliver a collaborative and energetic live performance backed by some of the region’s finest musicians for a night of world-class jazz in an intimate listening room setting.
