Distinguished british artist and ‘original folk voice’ Ruth Theodore has been steadily releasing critically acclaimed studio albums for over a decade.

Having started her career as a street busker on Englands south coast, Ruth is now signed to Ani DiFranco's Righteous Babe records and sharing labels, stages and studios with iconic international artists, as a performer, writer and recently co-producer, making her critically acclaimed music alongside long term collaborators; Tony and Grammy award winning producer and bassist Todd Sickafoose, and Swiss-American virtuoso percussionist Mathias Kunzli.

Ruth’s music is inspired by lived experience which makes her a folk singer in essense, but there’s a strong sense of playful rebellion in her delivery that embodies hints of 1920s vauderville theatre, buckets of indie punk rock attitude and the relentless lyrical energy of a beat poet.
