About The Class
Stand-Up 201 takes a deeper dive into the world of stand-up comedy, exploring some of the industry's more peripheral elements. Through workshops and exercises, advanced students will learn about roasting, crowd work, hosting, show production, advanced writing techniques, and the refinement of stage persona. Workshops and Instruction will also feature guest observers and lecturers. The end goal of the course is for students to produce an eight to ten-minute set filmed in front of a live audience. This is an EIGHT WEEK course.
