Forming in Summer 2019 for a friend’s fundraising show, former MLB player and singer/guitarist Matt Walbeck assembled a 4pc rock/psych/blues outfit including drummer Allen Coy, bassist Sean McMillin, and singer/guitarist Joshua Kräge for the task. Blending diverse influences like Steely Dan, Chuck Berry, Led Zeppelin, and the Grateful Dead, The Foul Tips play a meaty and unpredictable mix of unexpected covers, psychedelic jams, and off-the-cuff instrumentals, sometimes composed in the moment. No way to know what to expect at a Foul Tips show, but it won’t likely stay in fair territory.
