The Mitras

Drawing inspiration from garage and punk rock outfits such as Nirvana, The Vines and Team Spirirt and blending it with simple, stripped down pop rock like The Strokes, The Vaccines and Tom Petty, The Mitras were born in 2019 with their debut EP "Meet the Mitras" released that same year.

The Mitras are a performance forward 3 piece rock band bringing raspy, strained vocals, driving rhythms and screaming guitars to life on stage.

IONNA

IONNA is a synth-driven electronic music project created by Soraya Silene, a singer-songwriter, and producer, out of Richmond, Va. When you listen to IONNA, you can hear the influences of Kate Bush, The Cure, and St.Vincent. IONNA’s driving melodies move between being danceable and other times, ambient, calling the listener to the universal and collective. IONNA is narrative-driven, based initially on a fantasized character and a comic sketch. Soraya Silene began her music career when she opened a music venue in the Richmond, Va, arts district in 2012. That venue became a cultural hub where electronic music, synth-pop, and rock n’ roll were all blurring. She began playing guitar and singing in the Richmond music scene before moving to New York and starting her band, where she wrote her first EP in 2017, released as singles with an Americana/Rock sound. In 2019, Soraya made it her mission to learn how to self-produce a record. Reinventing her sound and spending more time with sound design allowed her to create a new musical language for IONNA.

Spirit Gun

Spirit Gun is a razor-sharp rock’n roll band based in Norfolk, Virginia. Established in 2017, the trio’s trademark sound showcases an intense blend of punk-like fury combined with dashes of soul music creating a sonic journey not dissimilar to that of the Bellrays.

​Sporting driving guitar riffs & a relentless display of energy— the group’s lineup boasts the passionate crooning of guitarist & frontman Peter Overstreet; coupled with the hard-hitting rhythmic forces of Oren Lev on drums & Anthony Burgess on bass.

​With an array of powerful performances throughout the Hampton Roads area ranging from the Taphouse in Norfolk & the Bunker in Virginia Beach, to Capstan Brewing in Hampton— Spirit Gun’s gripping live show is a full-throttle roar of rock’n roll not to be missed!

​Most recently, the group has been extending their reach outside of their hometown with other regional performances; such as the Garden Grove Brewing Company in Richmond & has been featured on the WHRV 89.5 Hunter At Sunrise radio program, & released their single, "Restless"— now available via Power Step Records!
