From 1997 to 2009, The Speaks were known for 3 things: great anthemic music, amazing live shows, and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. From their radio debut on DC101 in 2003 to their 5th sell out show at the 9:30 club for their finale, The Speaks, who's members are of Filipino heritage, broke down barriers and were able to reach fans from all over the globe. In 2005, The Speaks signed a deal with Warner Music (Asia) with the "Life's a Joke" album release in the Philippines. The second single of the album, "High" received an unprecedented amount of worldwide airplay and is still being covered today from artists all over the world on YouTube. The Speaks released their final EP, "This is the Time" in 2008 and was distributed by Universal Music (Asia). From sharing the stage with national acts, to having their music videos receive heavy rotation on MTV Asia and MYX Music Channel, and still to this day being streamed over 1 million times monthly, The Speaks left their mark on the music scene and plenty of hangovers all over the world.

Crash Boom Bang returns to the stage in 2026 after nearly a decade away, reuniting the band that helped define a chapter of the Washington DC pop-rock scene. Known for selling out hometown shows and bringing an explosive energy to every room, the band first broke out in the early 2010s, cutting their teeth at Jammin Java—where they packed the house show after show and built a loyal local following.

Their momentum took them from Virginia to the national stage, touring alongside acts like Plain White T’s, Mayday Parade and Gin Blossoms. In 2012, the band released These Wild Things, an EP whose songs found placements in films and television including American Pie and Beauty and the Beast. Their high-octane music video for “V.I.P.” sparked online buzz and surpassed 300,000 views, expanding their audience far beyond the DMV. It was the perfect follwo-up to their debut album Gold Rush, which set the tone for their signature blend of anthemic pop-rock and high-energy hooks, produced by Plain White T's lead singer Tom Higgenson of "Hey There Delilah" fame.

After their last major show in 2014, life pulled the guys in different directions—but the music never stopped calling. Now, Crash Boom Bang returns to Jammin Java, the venue where it all began, for one night only. Expect the same electric energy, sing-along hooks, and unapologetic fun that made their early shows legendary. This reunion marks a long-awaited celebration of where they came from—and the soundtrack of everyone who was there along the way.

After 8 years of performing together as Wandering Lies, a female fronted band from Washington, D.C., the Angie Pepa fronted rock band has decided to rebrand and go in a new musical direction with a new project called "Kill For Sushi". As Wandering Lies, Pepa and her bandmates (guitarist Noli Conty, bassist Myk Menez, guitarist David Chaletzky, drummer Ben Tufts) won 4 battle of the bands, were nominated as best rock group in 2021 by the Washington Area Music Association, and were a finalist to open up the iHeartRadio Festival by Hot 99.5 in 2020. The band is working on a new album that will be released in 2026.
