Flea Market Films will be presenting BEAT STREET on beautiful 16mm! This 1984 classic is the best of the first wave of 80s hip hop narratives. Set in the streets, subway tunnels, and squats of the South Bronx, director Stan Lathan earnestly captures an important era of breakdancing and graffiti cultures.

Including appearances by Afrika Bambaataa, Wanda Dee, Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, just to name a few. One thing's for sure: this movie will make you get off your ass and DANCE!
