Buried In Jade stands as a career-defining moment for Thousand Below, distilling nearly a decade of sonic exploration into a cohesive yet diverse body of work. The album spans multiple sonic spectrums from crushing metalcore anthems and hook-heavy modern pop elements to atmospheric rock, heartfelt ballads, and the band’s signature post-hardcore roots. It's a bold step forward — both sonically and thematically — for a band unafraid to grow beyond genre lines.

Produced by Austin Coupe (The Devil Wears Prada, Citizen, nothing, nowhere) — as well as Josh Gilbert on select tracks (“Palace Of Dread” “The Quiet And Cold”) and mixed by Joseph McQueen, Buried In Jade captures the essence of Thousand Below’s past while boldly forging their future.

Following the incredible success and adoration received from 2019’s stunning debut ‘Lonely World’, a record that harnessed melody and melancholy to devastatingly gorgeous effect, Acres found themselves playing the biggest shows of their career so far and achieving things they had only previously dreamt about.

But when the world around them suddenly felt so uncertain, they had a choice to make of what they should do next. Instead of rushing out with something that they didn’t fully believe, they locked themselves away and painstakingly created something that not only represented where they had been but also where they wanted to end up.

The result is ‘Burning Throne’, a crushing, cathartic and perfectly crafted account of what it means to stare into your own oblivion and learn about who you really are from it. Not only showcasing some of the band’s heaviest material to date but also their most poignant and honest, it is a body of work that the band have injected every ounce of their soul into as well something that they are immensely proud to have as a vital part of their story.

Typically, when one thinks of a “victim,” they think of someone subjected to a heinous crime or marked injustice. However — to a point — we’re all victims; victims to our own actions and their repercussions. Victims to our thoughts and the instincts that drive our brain—that double edged fight or flight response that can take our own catecholamines and neurochemical imbalances and turn them against us. That type of victim is the sort that serves as the namesake for Illinois-based metalcore act, VCTMS. Born at the turn of the decade, the group have earned a reputation for their nu-metal, hardcore and hip-hop infused style of metalcore and contagiously catchy yet devastatingly depressive wallop that it packs.

VCTMS have become an internationally known powerhouse in the metal underground. evolving their sound with a renewed focus on incorporating energetic and frenetic nu-metal influence and starting the writing process for their debut full-length album, Vol II: Inside the Mind — which was released in March of 2017 to critical acclaim. Since the release of Vol II, VCTMS have refused to slow down in the slightest. Touring alongside BLACK TONGUE, ANGELMAKER, LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE, Traitors, Filth, and falsifier while also serving as local support for bands from Veil of Maya and Emmure to Peirce the Veil, VCTMS does everything with the utmost intensity — an intensity reflected in their newest full-length record, Vol III: Halfway Happy, and is sure to manifest in Volume IV, writing for which is already underway.

Since their inception, VCTMS have taken over the ears and hearts of heavy music lovers with catchy grooves, crushing breakdowns, emotional, honest and relatable lyrics paired with overwhelmingly popular, unique merchandise and a work ethic yet to be matched. VCTMS are a band bent on improving themselves and their sound with each release and simply cannot be stopped.

No label and no management, The d.i.y group's newest release Vol III Halfway Happy charted on billboard for the week of September 15th, 2018, Bad luck season is here believe it.
